Silent Leaders starts like a requiem, with its solemn piano and rhythm section. The death of a dream, announcing the rebirth of something better, something new, led silently? One wants to believe that silent leaders, artists, true & pure leaders can take over the reins of a world adrift. The pace of the song is hypnotic, the instruments and the vocals pushing towards a climax and then we return to where we started.
