Sandmoon is not particularly known for songs that make you get up and dance or swing. But, flagship song of the album Bearable Lightness of Being (BLOB) is as its title suggests light and fun. The only song that wasn’t written during the past 2 years, it explores the road to ascertaining one’s identity within a rigid society. The surprisingly peppy vocals dance on the jangling guitar riffs in a dazed swing pop anthem to free minds.
lyrics
Smothered by idioms imposed on me
Values unrelated with my beliefs
I’m torn between two worlds
I choose moderation as my golden path
Misunderstood by all who show their wrath
They fall into extremes
And I just wanna use my mind
The way I believe it, the way I believe it…
People expect you to fit in a mould
And if you fail to fit, they just throw you out
They’re all bound to be losing,
We’re all good to be hoping
And I just wanna use my mind
The way I believe it, the way I believe it
And I just wanna lose my mind
The way I believe it, the way I believe it's right and I feel it’s right
So show me some understanding
A bit of comprehension
And just respect that I have my own opinion
And I just wanna make it, just wanna make it
... Right
The way i believe it.
